North mynagappally ( നോര്ത്ത് മൈനാഗപ്പള്ളി ) is a small beautiful place in Kunnathoor taluk of Kollam district of Kerala state. The place is blessed with natural beauty, resourses and peace. 1. KAROOR KADAVU BRIDGE ( കാരൂര് കടവ് പാലം )
The bridge was inaugurated on................ by Sri........... (DATA NOT AVAILABLE,PLEASE HELP). The bridge built across the Pallikkal river. The side guards of the bridge were damaged, but repaired by the authority because of constant efforts from the public.
2. PALLIKKAL RIVER ( പള്ളിക്കല് ആറ് )
The river ends in the Kallada river. Many people depend this river for irrigation and fishing. But now, extensive and unauthorised sand mining is frequently killing the river and the ecosystem around.

3. KAROOR KADAVU MASJID (കാരൂര് കടവ് പള്ളി )
This masjid is situated near the Pallikkal river and provides religious education to the children in the locality.
4. BRICK AND TILE FACTORIES ( കട്ടക്കമ്പനിയും ഓട്ടു കമ്പനിയും )
There are around 5 brick factories working in North Mynagappally and the famous are 'Abhilash Bricks' and 'Palatharayil'. The tile factories were common in the past days, but the 'concreting' trend forced all of them to shut down. But there, we can see one of tile factories in Karoor kadavu, which is not working, reminds us the golden past days of tiles.

5. KAROOR KADAVU SCHOOL (കാരൂര് കടവ് സ്കൂള് )
While hearing " Karoor Kadavu school" everyone in North Mynagappally feels a nostalgia. Because everyone who has completed their primary education in North Mynagappally was from this school. The school was started 45 years ago and it formerly known as SKVLPS AND SKVUPS ( Sreekrishna Vilasom lower and upper primary school ) and the school was bought by another management few years ago and changed the name to Valiyam Memorial school. Transportation facility is providing for the students free of cost by management. So no one needs to walk to the school. But remembering the olden days in Karoorkadavu school, going to the school by walk through the canal, the kanji and payar, sweets from Kalikkuttiyammavan's and Somannan's shop and so on....feel that the new generation is unlucky to experience these all.
6. KUTTITHARA ( കുട്ടിതറ )
Kutthara has lot of paddy fields and back waters and is located south of the Transformer junction.
7. UMBONDI JUNCTION ( ഉമ്പോണ്ടി മുക്ക് )
Umbondi mukku is situated between Karoor kadavu and Anoorkavu.
8. TRIVENI JUNCTION ( ത്രിവേണി മുക്ക് )
Triveni junction situated between Umbondi junction and Anoorkavu.
9. ANOOR KAVU ( ആനൂര് കാവ് )
Anoorkavu is a fastly developing town in North Mynagappally. North Mynagappally branch of Kollam District Co-operative bank is situated here. The place also resides one primary health centre and a saw mill, only of its kind in North Mynagappally. One of the main specialities is the equal distance to the masjid and temple from Anoorkavu, masjid in east and temple in south. So Anoorkavu is blessed with the presence of both them.

10. NORTH MYNAGAPPALLY MUSLIM JAMAATH MASJID ( വടക്കന് മൈനാഗപ്പള്ളി മുസ്ലിം ജമാഅത്ത് പള്ളി )
The North Mynagappally Muslim Jamaath Masjid is situated between Anoorkavu and Somavilasam Market. The Jamaath started around 28 years ago . The new masjid was built and inaugurated in the year 2005. The jamaath is running a madrassa which provides religious education to the children in North Mynagappally. Jamaath has a 'poor fund' which provides financial help to the poor families over North Mynagappally and surrounding areas. Recently, an English medium school has been started under the management of Jamaath. The annual day of Muhiyudheen is being held every hijri year.

11. PATTUPURAKKAL SREE DHARMA SHASTHA TEMPLE ( പാട്ടുപുരക്കല് ശ്രീ ധര്മ ശാസ്താ ക്ഷേത്രം )
The temple is situated south of Anoorkavu. This is a shastha temple and the idol of worship is Ayyappa. The annual festival is held on the month of February. There is a sadyalaya under the management of temple.

The religious and communal harmony which, North Mynagappally is maintaining is a lesson to the rest of Kerala. The people in this place are respecting each other and each religion, so there is no place for conflicts. Handing over the food items in festival season is a common custom in North Mynagappally.
12. POYKAYIL ( പൊയ്യ )
Popularly known as ' poyya'. This is a property of temple. A stage is situated in this ground. Many famous football and cricket matches are being conducted here. This is the home ground of Sargachethana Arts & Sports club. A borewell and a pump house, which supplies drinking water to many areas of North Mynagappally is working here

13. SOMAVILASAM MARKET ( സോമവിലാസം ചന്ദ )
Somavilasom market is the only market place in North Mynagappally. The place has many infrastructural developments. A public library 'Navodaya Grandashala' is situated here. ( Requesting your help to add a small description regarding Navodaya Library )

14. KIP CANAL ( കനാല് )
A branch of KIP ( Kallada Irrigation Project ) canal is passing through the North Mynagappally - Somavilasam, Anoorkavu- and ends in the pallikkal river. Previously the canal was full of wastes and now it was cleaned and the irrigation started through the canal, which is helpful to the families near by.

15. KANNANKARA JUNCTION ( കണ്ണങ്കര മുക്ക് )
It is a place situated east of Somavilasom market.
16. PUNCHA ( പുഞ്ച )
It is a beautiful area with paddy fields and Pallikkal river. A part of pallikkal river starts here. The view of river in the evening is mind boggling.

The temple Appuppankavu situated near the Puncha. The temple annually celebrates the " Kayal vilakku festival " which is the art with lamps in river. It is very nice to see the river in that night.
17. CLUBS AND ORGANISATIONS IN NORTH MYNAGAPPALLY ( ക്ലബ്ബുകളും പ്രസ്ഥാനങ്ങളും )
So many clubs are providing service to North Mynagappally. The main club is Sargachethana ( സര്ഗ ചേതന ) which was established in the year 1994. The club conducts many humanistic activities. Anniversary is celebrating with Onam programmes.
The other main clubs are:
* Thanal samskarika vedi
* Sharaful Islam Yuvajana Sanghadana
18. AGRICULTURE IN NORTH MYNAGAPPALLY ( കൃഷി )
The main crops are rice, banana, gingelly and coconut and now started rubber plantations.

Most of the families in North Mynagappally are middle class.Many depend in agriculture and small businesses. A small proportion is government employees and NRIs. North Mynagappally is proud of, because a considerable youth population is working in militory, thus serving the country.
